UP LT Grade Exam Pattern

The recruitment process for the UP LT Grade Teacher position consists of two stages: a Prelims (objective-type) exam and a Mains (descriptive-type) exam. The qualifying criteria are set at 35% for SC/ST candidates and 40% for candidates from other categories.

  • Mode and Type: Offline, objective-type MCQs with one common paper for all candidates.​
  • Sections: General Studies – 30 questions and Concerned/Main Subject – 120 questions.​
  • Total Questions: 150
  • Duration: 2 hours (120 minutes)
  • Negative Marking: 0.33 mark deducted for each wrong answer; no penalty for unattempted questions
