RBI Assistant 2026 Overview & Important Dates
The notification was released on 16th February 2026 alongside the online application start date. Candidates completed submissions by the online application form last date on 10th March 2026 (11:59 pm), which was also the last date to pay fees. Following an application correction window on 14th & 15th March 2026 (11:59 pm), the admit cards dropped on 2nd April 2026, paving the way for the Preliminary Exam on 11th & 13th April 2026. Prelims results were officially declared on 25th May 2026. Candidates are now awaiting the score card and the Mains admit card in the 4th week of May 2026.

Selection Process & Recruitment Stages
The selection process consists of three core stages:
- Preliminary Examination
- Main Examination
- Language Proficiency Test (LPT)
The Preliminary Exam is exclusively a qualifying round and its marks do not count towards final selection. A negative marking of 0.25 marks is applicable for every incorrect answer.
Steps to Apply for RBI Assistant Recruitment 2026
- Go to the RBI’s official portal: www.rbi.org.in and click on the “Opportunities@RBI”.
- Look for the notification titled “Recruitment for the Post of Assistant – Panel Year 2025.
- Click on “Online Application Form” and a new page opens.
- Now click on “New Registration” and enter a valid email ID and mobile number.
- Complete the application form carefully with: Personal information (name, DOB, contact details), Educational qualifications and Category details (if applicable).
- Upload scanned copies of: Recent passport-size photograph, Signature, Other required documents as per specifications (size & format details will be given in the form).
- Pay the Application Fee Online using debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI.
- Check your entered details before final submission. Click “Submit” to complete the registration.

Eligibility Criteria: Educational Qualification & Age Limit
Applicants must fulfill specific educational and age criteria as on 01/02/2026:
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 50% aggregate marks (pass class for SC/ST/PwBD candidates), along with computer and local language proficiency.
