Eligibility Criteria

To appear for the TGTET-2026, candidates must meet specific educational benchmarks depending on the paper they are attempting.

Eligibility Criteria Paper I (Classes 1-5)

• Intermediate (10+2) with 50% marks (45% for reserved/differently abled)
• 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR 4-year B.El.Ed. OR Diploma in Special Education

Eligibility Criteria Paper II (Classes 6-8)

• Bachelor’s Degree (B.A./B.Sc./B.Com./B.E./B.Tech) with 50% marks (with relaxation for reserved categories)
• B.Ed. or equivalent teacher training qualification

Steps to Apply for TGTET 2026 Exam

1. Visit the official website of the Department of School Education, Government of Telangana, at https://tgtet.aptonline.in/tgtet/ or https://schooledu.telangana.gov.in/.
2. Look for the “Apply for TG TET June 2026” link and choose the “New Registration” option.
3. Fill in the required details to generate your Application Number and Password.
4. Log in using your generated credentials to access the application form.
5. Enter your personal and academic information along with exam preference details.
6. Upload required documents, including a recent passport-size photograph and a scanned signature.
7. Pay the TGTET application fee via Net Banking, Credit/Debit Card, or UPI.
8. Download and save the submitted application form for future reference.

Exam Pattern & Documentation

The exam is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) with no negative marking. Each correct answer carries 1 mark.
