The UP Assistant Teacher Trained Graduate Grade (Male/Female) Preliminary Exam 2025 (Advt. UP LT Grade Exam Pattern

The UP LT Grade Teacher recruitment process consists of two primary stages: the Prelims (Objective Type) and the Mains (Descriptive Type). The minimum qualifying criteria are set at 35% for SC/ST candidates and 40% for all other categories.

• Mode and Type: Offline, objective-type MCQs with one common paper for all candidates.​
• Sections: General Studies – 30 questions and Concerned/Main Subject – 120 questions.​
• Total Questions: 150
• Duration: 2 hours (120 minutes)
• Negative Marking: 0.33 mark deducted for each wrong answer; no penalty for unattempted questions

To gain entry into the examination hall, candidates must present their valid admit card along with required identification documents as specified in the examination guidelines.

• UP LT Grade Teacher Admit Card 2026: The admit card for the preliminary examination is compulsory to carry to the examination centre. Without an admit card, candidates will be debarred from appearing in the examination.
• 02 Passport-size Photographs: Candidates are required to carry 02 passport-size photographs along with the admit cards.
• One Original Photo Identity Proof: Candidates must carry one original photo identity proof and a photocopy i.e. Driving Licence/ Passport/ PAN card/ Voter Identity Card/ Central / State Government ID Card/ Unique Identification Card “Aadhar”.
