UP LT Grade Exam Pattern

The UP LT Grade Teacher recruitment process consists of two primary stages: the Prelims (Objective Type) and the Mains (Descriptive Type). The minimum qualifying criteria are set at 35% for SC/ST candidates and 40% for all other categories.

  • Mode and Type: Offline, objective-type MCQs with one common paper for all candidates.​
  • Sections: General Studies – 30 questions and Concerned/Main Subject – 120 questions.​
  • Total Questions: 150
  • Duration: 2 hours (120 minutes)
  • Negative Marking: 0.33 mark deducted for each wrong answer; no penalty for unattempted questions
