Eligibility Criteria

Educational qualification requires a Degree (B.E./B.Tech) or a 3-year Diploma in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university or board. Some departments require a diploma plus 2 years of working experience in planning, execution, or maintenance.

Application Fee

The application fee for SSC JE 2026 is Rs. 100/-. However, female candidates, ex-servicemen, and reserved category candidates are exempted from the application fee.

Exam Pattern & Marking Scheme

Paper 1 carries 200 marks with a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer and a duration of 2 hours. Paper 2 carries 300 marks with a penalty of 1 mark for incorrect answers and a duration of 2 hours.
