Educational Qualification

Educational requirements for the SECL Apprentice recruitment are strictly categorized based on the specific apprentice post applied for:

1. Graduate Apprentice: Candidates must have a 4-year Engineering degree or a 3-year General Graduation degree, respectively, from a government-recognised institute.
2. Technician Apprentice: Candidates must have done a 3-year Diploma in a relevant engineering branch.

Important Note: Only fresh candidates are eligible. Applicants who have previously completed apprenticeship training or have more than one year of prior work experience are ineligible to apply.

Age Limit

The minimum age limit for the SECL Apprentice program is 18 years. Currently, the notification does not specify an upper age limit or age relaxation criteria for reserved category candidates.

SECL Apprentice Selection Process 2026

The SECL Apprentice selection process is conducted through a two-stage merit-based shortlisting method, followed by formal document verification.

1. Merit-based Shortlisting: In this stage, candidates are shortlisted based on their academic performance. The marks that they had obtained in ITI/Diploma/Degree are considered to prepare the merit list.
2. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates from the previous stage are called for the document verification. In this, candidates verify their educational certificate, identity proof, and other necessary documents. Any mismatch in the documents will result in the cancellation of the candidature.

SECL Apprentice Salary 2026

Selected apprentices will receive a fixed monthly stipend, with the exact compensation amount determined by the candidate's level of education and apprenticeship category.
