The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) has introduced critical updates regarding the RSSB 4th Grade Recruitment 2025. With a massive response from over 21 lakh applicants, the board has implemented a thorough normalization process that significantly impacted cut-off marks, particularly across reserved categories. For official announcements, you can visit the https://rssb.rajasthan.gov.in/ platform.
Overview of Vacancies and Application Statistics
The extensive recruitment drive is structured to fill 53,750 Grade 4 positions across the state. These vacancies are distributed strategically to cover regional needs:
- 48,199 vacancies are allocated to the NTSP (Non-Scheduled) region.
- 5,550 vacancies are designated for the TSP (Scheduled) region.
Despite receiving over 21 lakh applications, strict evaluation criteria led to the rejection of 26,436 applications following rigorous scrutiny. Furthermore, a rule enforced automatic disqualification for any candidate who left more than 10% of the questions unattempted.
Impact of Normalization on Reserved Categories
The application of normalization procedures brought notable shifts and declines in cut-off thresholds. While individual raw correct answer counts remained unchanged, candidates experienced marginal fluctuations of 1 to 8 marks in their final scores post-normalization.
Reserved category cut-offs generally dropped by approximately 21 to 43 marks compared to the general category benchmarks. For instance, the ST category cut-off saw a reduction of 21.2556 marks, while the SC category dropped by 11.0789 marks. Most notably, the Divyang category experienced the steepest decline, decreasing by 43.7502 marks. Individual improvements were also recorded, such as a candidate in the widow category with merit rank 880 whose score rose from 165.812 to 169.7239.
