RRB JE Exam Pattern 2026

The official recruitment journey for the RRB JE 2026 exam consists of a 1st stage Computer Based Test (CBT), a 2nd stage CBT, followed by Document Verification and a Medical Examination. Selection is determined purely by merit based on performance in these CBTs. The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) will notify eligible candidates regarding the dates, times, and venues for all stages. Please note that requests to reschedule or change examination centers will not be accommodated under any circumstances.

The Railway JE 2026 recruitment process is conducted in the following four phases:

1. First Stage of CBT
2. Second Stage of CBT
3. Document Verification
4. Medical Examination

RRB JE CBT 1 Exam Pattern 2026

Negative Marking: To maintain high standards, a negative marking scheme applies to both CBT stages. For every incorrect answer, 1/3rd of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted from your total score.

Minimum qualifying marks required for eligibility by category: UR - 40%, OBC - 30%, SC - 30%, ST - 25%. These eligibility thresholds may be relaxed by 2% for PwBD candidates if the number of PwBD applicants is insufficient to fill the reserved vacancies.

RRB JE CBT 2 Exam Pattern 2026

Negative Marking: Please be aware that a penalty of 1/3rd of the marks for each incorrect response applies to both the 1st and 2nd stage Computer Based Tests.

Minimum qualifying standards per category: UR - 40%, OBC - 30%, SC - 30%, ST - 25%. In the event of a shortage of PwBD candidates, these marks may be relaxed by 2% to ensure adequate representation.
