The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) concluded the written examination (Advertisement No. 06 of 2025-26) for the Group B Assistant Agriculture Officer post under the Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment. The exam, attended by 4,872 registered candidates, consisted of two papers: Paper 1 (10 am to 12 noon) and Paper 2 (2 pm to 4 pm).

Age Limit

Candidates must be aged between 21 and 38 as of January 1, 2025. This means applicants must have been born between January 2, 1987, and January 1, 2004. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories according to government guidelines.

OPSC AAO Exam Pattern 2026

To succeed, candidates must be thoroughly familiar with the OPSC Assistant Agricultural Officer Exam 2026 pattern, including marks distribution and syllabus focus.

• There are two papers of 200 marks- 100 marks for each paper
• The format is multiple-choice questions
• 1 mark per question
• 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
• 2 hours are given to each paper.

Selection is based on performance in the written examination followed by a mandatory interview worth 25 marks. The final merit list is compiled using the combined scores from both stages.
