Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualifications
Candidates must satisfy specific academic benchmarks and domicile specifications to qualify:
- Passed a postgraduate (Master’s) degree, or studying in the final year / third or fourth semester of a postgraduate program
- Degree from a university/educational institution established by a Central or State Act, or recognized under the UGC Act, 1956
- Unreserved / General and OBC (Creamy Layer): At least 55% marks
- Reserved category (SC, ST, OBC–Non-Creamy Layer of MP, and PwD): At least 50% marks
- EWS: At least 55% marks
- Ph.D. holders: 5% relaxation in marks (reducing requirement from 55% to 50%)
- Foreign degree holders: Equivalence certificate from Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi
Note that there is no upper age limit for appearing in the MP SET 2026. Benefits for SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), EWS, women, and PwD categories apply strictly to Madhya Pradesh domicile candidates. Candidates from other states and OBC (Creamy Layer) candidates of MP are treated as Unreserved.

Applicants must pay the applicable fees along with portal charges. Scanned photographs and signature files must be maintained between 25 KB and 200 KB.

Steps to Apply for MP SET 2026
- Visit the official website of the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission, https://mppsc.mp.gov.in/.
- On the Home Page click on the application link.
- The registration page will open. Fill in the required details such as name, date of birth, and email ID.
- Next Page candidates will get the application form. Enter all the required details such as personal, educational, and contact details. Provide and upload all the necessary documents.
- Candidates need to Pay the application fees through net banking, debit card, or credit card.
- Review the form and submit it, Once the form is submitted successfully, it can’t be withdrawn.
