India Post has successfully published four merit lists for the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) recruitment drive under the January 2026 Schedule-I, with the Jharkhand Postal Circle consistently featured in each selection round. Merit List History for Jharkhand Circle

1st Merit List (6 March 2026): The initial selection list for Jharkhand was generated based on Class 10 academic percentages, with the original deadline for document verification set for March 23, 2026.

2nd Merit List (11 April 2026): India Post issued this secondary list to address vacancies remaining after the first round, covering 19 circles including Jharkhand. Notably, several circles such as Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal were excluded at that time due to the Model Code of Conduct.

3rd Merit List (11 May 2026): A third supplementary list was published, shortlisting approximately 6,690 candidates across 19 postal circles, with a mandatory document verification deadline of May 26, 2026.

4th Merit List (8–9 June 2026): The recently released fourth list includes the Jharkhand Circle to fill remaining vacancies. Cut-off percentages in this round are observed to be slightly more accessible than previous stages. Selected candidates must complete their document verification at their designated Divisional Office on or before June 23, 2026.

A fifth merit list may be released subsequently if vacancies remain available following the completion of the document verification process for the 4th list.
