Registration Process for All India Bar Examination 20 Examination

To apply successfully for the examination, follow this step-by-step registration procedure via the https://www.allindiabarexamination.com portal:

  1. Go to the Bar Council of India’s official AIBE website: https://www.allindiabarexamination.com
  2. Scroll down the homepage and look for the text: “Notification with regard to schedule of All India Bar Examination- XX”
  3. Click on the link “Registration link AIBE-XX”
  4. A new page open, and click on the “New Registration” button.
  5. Enter your required details: Name, Place, Mobile number, Email, Enrollment number, state.
  6. After registering, you get a registration number, use it to log in again to the application form.
  7. Fill in required details such as: Educational qualification, Date of birth, Preferred exam centres and Preferred exam language
  8. Upload scanned copies of your photograph and signature in JPG format, as per the specified size.
  9. Proceed to pay the registration/application fee through the available online payment methods.
  10. Finally, submit the AIBE XX application form and take a printout for future use.

Eligibility Criteria and Exemptions

Candidates must satisfy specific educational qualifications and criteria defined by the governing council:

  • Candidates must have passed or are in the final year of a 3-year LL.B or 5-year integrated LL.B degree from a BCI-approved institution.
  • Final semester students in 3-year or 5-year LL.B. course with no backlogs in previous semesters are eligible.
  • Law graduates who completed their course but have not yet received their degree certificate are eligible.
  • No minimum marks required in degree to appear for AIBE.
  • No upper or lower age limit.
  • State Bar Council registration is not mandatory to appear.

Exemptions from AIBE

  • Law graduates who passed LL.B. before the academic year 2009–2010 are exempted from AIBE.
  • Those who graduated in 2008 or earlier do not need to appear for AIBE.
  • Candidates graduating from 2009–10 onwards must appear and pass the AIBE.
