About (Wbsu) West Bengal State University

Established in 2008, WBSU offers more than 30 PG courses as well as Ph.D degree. The university regularly conducts UG (for its affiliated colleges) and PG exams.

West Bengal State University Admission 2019

In order to get admission in the postgraduate program, candidates need to hold a Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline with minimum required marks.

Admission to the PG courses will be done through an Entrance Test conducted by the university itself.

• Selection will be made strictly in order of merit on the basis of percentage of marks for 60% of seats for WBSU students and rest 40% of seats on the basis of subject wise Entrance Test for Other University students and home university students including back years (Passed in 2016, 2018) students
• Under the category of 40% of seats, the students will be admitted on the basis of an MCQ test on OMR sheet either with 50 questions each carrying 2 marks or adhering to the standardized format of MCQ test of the university, whichever is applicable; [negative marks & cut off marks will be applicable, if necessary

 
 Candidates seeking admission to the university programmes must fulfill the required eligibility criteria in order to appear for the entrance test. Interested applicants can obtain the concerned application form available at the university website or in person from the university office and submit it upon completion to along with the prescribed fee.

West Bengal State University (WBSU) is also called as Barsat University. WBSU is the public university which is located in Barsat near the city of Kolkata in the state of West Bengal in India.

West Bengal State University Exam Admit Card Download

The applicants enrolled in the university appear every year in the term end exams scheduled to be conducted in the months of July/ August and November/ December respectively. The term end exams for this session have been announced to be held from  September 2018 for all applicants enrolled in Under Graduate Part- I Examination 2018 (BA/ B.Sc/ B.Com/ BBA Part I Hons.). Steps to download Admit Card for WBSU:

1. Visit the official website of West Bengal State University at wbsubregistration.org for accessing your Admit Cards online.
2. Find the active downloading links for Admit Cards from the home page of website under the Notice Board.
3. Enter your registration numbers and access your admit cards online.
4. Save and print the admit cards generated online to be carried at the time of examination.

West Bengal State University (WBSU) Application Process 2019

• Candidates need to check the website to fill the application form 
• They need to register themselves to go through the application process
• After successful registration, applicants need to fill the application form properly and submit
• After online submission of the application, the copy of the application is to be downloaded and printed copy of the downloaded application along with relevant supporting documents self-attested by the candidate are to be preserved and submitted to the concerned section of WBSU and the documentary evidence of the payment of Application Fee (e-receipt) must be attached with the hard copy of the application for admission if selected
• Mode of Payment : Application Fee Rs. 300/- (for General and other candidates) and Rs.150/- (for SC/ST/PWD candidate) has to be paid by the candidates
• Candidates may use the payment facility on Multi Option Payment System (MOPS)  Internet Banking of all Banks / ATM-cum-Debit/Credit Card of all Banks / By Cash/Cheque at SBI Branches by using challan. For State Bank collect system additional commission for bank transaction to be borne by the candidate.
• Copy of the fee deposition slip (e-receipt) is to be attached with the printed copy of the application
• Before deposition Cash at SBI Br. e-Challan to be downloaded from “State Bank Collect”
