Educational Qualification
UPTET Eligibility for Paper-I (Primary Level - Classes 1 to 5): To qualify for Paper-I, applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university, followed by a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (DElEd). Final-year DElEd students are also eligible to apply.
- Graduation supplemented by a Basic Training Certificate (BTC) in distance education. Final-year candidates are welcome to apply.
- Graduation or Post-Graduation with at least 50% marks, combined with a Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree or ongoing enrollment in a BEd program.
- Graduation or Post-Graduation with at least 45% marks, in accordance with NCTE regulations, combined with a completed BEd degree.
- Graduation combined with a BTC in Urdu. Candidates in their final year of this program are eligible.
- Graduation coupled with a teaching diploma from Aligarh Muslim University.
- Graduation and the possession of a Moavill-E-Urdu degree obtained prior to August 08, 1997.
- Senior Secondary (12th Class) with at least 50% marks, followed by a four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd) degree.
UPTET Eligibility for Paper-II (Upper Primary Level - Classes 6 to 8): Applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria to be eligible for Paper-II:
- Graduation from a recognized university combined with a two-year DElEd (BTC) program.
- Graduation or Post-Graduation with at least 50% marks, along with a BEd or BEd Special Education degree. Final-year students in these programs are eligible.
- 12th Class with at least 50% marks, followed by a four-year BScEd or BSc BEd degree from a UGC/NCTE-recognized institution. Final-year students are eligible.
