UP Police Constable Preparation Tips 2026

With 32,679 vacancies and significant competition expected, adopting a targeted preparation strategy for every subject is key to securing your seat.

  • General Knowledge: Focus heavily on UP-specific topics (administration, geography, culture) as they carry significant weight and are often overlooked by candidates who prepare only from national GK books.
  • General Hindi: Practice grammar rules daily and revise idioms (मुहावरे) and one-word substitutions regularly. These are high-scoring and repeat across previous papers.
  • Numerical Ability: Focus on Percentage, Profit & Loss, Time & Work, and SI/CI since these appear consistently in previous year papers.
  • Reasoning/Aptitude: Practice series completion, blood relations, and direction sense problems daily. Speed matters more than accuracy here since there is no negative marking.
  • Attempt All Questions: Since there is no negative marking in 2026, do not leave any question blank. Always attempt all 150 questions.
  • Mock Tests: Solve at least 2–3 full-length per week in the final 2 months to build speed and accuracy.
