Following the conclusion of the application window, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the updated vacancy count for the Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) and Havaldar positions. The total number of openings for the SSC MTS 2025 Exam now stands at 5,464, comprising 4,375 vacancies for Multi Tasking Staff and 1,089 for the Havaldar post. Candidates should prepare to compete for these 5,464 available positions.

The official notification regarding the updated vacancies for the Multi Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination 2025 was issued on 28th July 2025. The official notice states: “The tentative vacancies for MTS mentioned in para 2.1 of the Notice of Examination may be read as 4,375 and the vacancy of Havaldar may be read as 1089 instead of 1075.”

Selection Process for SSC MTS & Havaldar Vacancies:
MTS Selection Process: Candidates must qualify through the Computer-Based Examination (CBT) followed by Document Verification.
Havaldar Selection Process: The process includes the CBT, Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), and final Document Verification.
The CBT structure consists of two mandatory sessions:
Session 1: Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability (40 questions, 120 marks, 45-minute duration, no negative marking).
Session 2: General Awareness and English Language (50 questions, 150 marks, 45-minute duration).
