SSC MTS Selection Process & Exam Structure
The SSC MTS selection process includes a Computer-Based Examination (Paper 1) for both Multi-Tasking Staff and Havaldar positions. Paper 1 is conducted online and consists of 4 core sections: Reasoning, Numerical Ability, English Language, and General Awareness. Additionally, a Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST) are mandatory specifically for the Havaldar post.
The SSC MTS Paper-I has a total of 90 questions and 270 marks. Paper-I is conducted in 2 Sessions (Session I and Session II), and both sessions are mandatory to attempt. Please note that not attempting any session will disqualify the candidate.

Timing and Negative Marking Rules
Session 1 includes Numerical and Mathematical Ability and Reasoning Ability and Problem-Solving, with a total duration of 45 minutes for the session. Session 2 includes General Awareness and English Language and Comprehension, with a total duration of 45 minutes for the session.
The timing for visually handicapped and cerebral palsy candidates is 45 minutes for each session. Regarding accuracy and penalties, there is a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Session 2, whereas there is no negative marking in Session 1.
SSC Havaldar Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standard Test (PST)
Candidates applying for the Havaldar position must successfully clear physical measurement and endurance benchmarks.
