1. The SSC CHSL 2026 Tier I Exam is a computer-based test featuring objective-type multiple-choice questions.

2. The Tier 2 examination is structured into three specific sections, with each section further divided into two modules.

2. There is a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each incorrect answer.
3. There will be 4 subjects with 100 questions (Objective Type) and each question carries 2 marks.

SSC CHSL Tier 2 Exam Pattern 2026

The Staff Selection Commission has officially updated the Tier 2 Exam Pattern for the 2026 cycle; the revised structure is outlined below:

The Tier II exam comprises three mandatory sections, each containing two distinct modules:

Section-1: Module-I: Mathematical Abilities; Module-II: Reasoning and General Intelligence.

Section-2: Module-I: English Language and Comprehension; Module-II: General Awareness.

Section-3: Module-I: Computer Knowledge Test; Module-II: Skill Test/Typing Test.

Tier-2 is held in two sessions on the same day. Session-1 includes Section-1, Section-2, and Module-1 of Section-3. Session-2 is dedicated to Module-2 of Section-3.

The SSC CHSL Tier 2 exam utilizes objective-type multiple-choice questions for most segments, excluding the typing test. Questions are provided in both English and Hindi, with the exception of the English Language and Comprehension module.

Note: A negative marking scheme of 1 mark for every incorrect answer applies to Section-1, Section-2, and Module-I of Section-3.
