SEBI Grade A Selection Process 2026

The SEBI Grade A selection process consists of three rigorous stages: Phase 1 (Online Screening), Phase 2 (Online Exam), and Phase 3 (Interview).

Phase 1: This is an objective-type screening examination conducted online. It comprises two papers, each carrying 100 marks.

Phase 2: The Phase 2 online examination consists of two papers, each worth 100 marks, featuring a combination of both objective and descriptive-type questions.

Phase 3: The final stage is an interview designed to assess the candidate's personality and suitability. Candidates may opt for the interview in either English or Hindi.

  • An online examination which has two papers each paper carries one hundred (100) marks
  • Paper 1 will consist of 60 minutes (1 hours) duration and the same for all the streams.

  • The Aggregate Cut-off to be scored is 40%.
  • There shall be a negative marking of ¼th mark for both Paper 1 & 2.

SEBI Grade A Phase-2 Exam Pattern

1. The online examination consists of two papers, with a combined total of 200 marks.

2. Paper 1 is descriptive in nature with a time duration of 60 minutes (1 hour).

3. Paper 2 consists of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs), with each section allotted 40 minutes.

4. Candidates must achieve a minimum aggregate cut-off of 50% to qualify.

5. A negative marking of 1/4th of the assigned marks applies to incorrect answers in Phase 2, Paper 2.
