SBI CBO Salary 2026
According to the official SBI CBO 2026 notification, Circle-Based Officers (CBOs) are hired in the JMGS-I scale (Rs. 48,480-2,000/7-62,480-2,340/2-67,160-2,680/7-85,920). Initial compensation includes the starting base salary plus one annual increment for each year of prior officer-level experience in a Scheduled Commercial Bank or RRB.
Officers are also eligible for allowances including D.A, H.R.A/Lease rental, C.C.A, and medical benefits, in accordance with the Bank’s prevailing policies.

SBI CBO Career Path
Upon joining, selected candidates are designated as Circle-Based Officers (CBOs) and must undergo a mandatory probation period of 6 months.
CBOs are subject to continuous assessment during probation to determine their eligibility for permanent confirmation. Candidates who meet the Bank’s performance standards will be confirmed in the Junior Management Grade Scale-I (JMGS-I). Failure to meet these standards may result in the termination of services.
Selected officers belong to the general cadre and are governed by the promotion policy applicable to the Bank's general cadre. They remain ineligible for inner-circle transfer until promotion to SMGS-IV Grade or until they complete 12 years of service, whichever is later.
