RRB NTPC Undergraduate Selection Process
Stage 1: CBT 1 (Computer-Based Test)
- This is the preliminary exam with 100 questions on General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence & Reasoning.
- Duration is 90 minutes with negative marking of 1/3rd for wrong answers.
- It is qualifying in nature and used to shortlist candidates for the next stage.
Stage 2: CBT 2 (Computer-Based Test)
- This is the main exam with 120 questions covering the same subjects as CBT 1 but at a higher difficulty level.
- Duration is 120 minutes and scores are normalized.
- Candidates are shortlisted for the next stage based on merit from this exam.
Stage 3: Typing Skill Test (TST) / Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT)
- Candidates applying for posts like Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist have to undergo a Typing Skill Test.
- For posts like Station Master and Traffic Assistant, a Computer-Based Aptitude Test is conducted.
Stage 4: Document Verification & Medical Examination
