The RRB NTPC (CEN 05/2024) examination fee refund process is now underway. Candidates who did not receive their refund due to transaction failures can update their bank account details from June 3rd to June 12th, 2026.
The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have initiated the examination fee refund for candidates who appeared in the First Stage Computer-Based Test (CBT) for the NTPC (Graduate) recruitment (CEN 05/2024). While most refunds have been processed, some candidates experienced failed transactions due to incorrect bank account information provided during the initial application.
RRB NTPC 05/2024 Fee Refund Process Starts
For candidates who successfully appeared for CBT-1 and provided accurate bank details, the refund has already been credited after the deduction of standard bank charges. The refund amount is determined based on the candidate's category:
- General/OBC Category – Candidates had paid Rs. 500 as the application fee. Out of this amount, Rs. 400/- is refunded after deduction of bank charges upon appearing in the 1st Stage CBT.
- SC/ST/PwBD/Female/Ex-Servicemen/Minority/EBC Categories – Candidates had paid Rs. 250/- as the application fee, and candidates have been refunded the Rs. 250/-.
RRB NTPC Refund Rectification Process for Failed Transactions
Refund failures primarily resulted from inaccuracies in bank account numbers or IFSC codes. Affected candidates will receive an official notification regarding these failed transactions via SMS and registered email on June 2nd, 2026.
To resolve these issues, the RRB has activated a Bank Account Rectification Link on their official regional websites, which will remain open for submissions from June 3rd to June 12th, 2026.
