The selection procedure for the upcoming recruitment cycle consists of distinct stages. There is no Computer-Based Aptitude Test for Technician posts, nor is there any skill test or practical test.

RRB Technician Exam Pattern 2026 Overview

The examination will be conducted in an online mode (CBT). Each correct answer awards 1 mark, while â…“ mark is deducted for each incorrect response.   • Questions will consist of objective-type multiple-choice questions.
  • A total of 100 questions will be asked for a total of 100 marks.
  • Candidates will be penalized for attempting a question wrong in the RRB Technician Exam 2026.
  • 1/3rd of the total marks will be deducted for each question attempted wrong by a candidate. No marks will be deducted for questions left blank or unattempted.
