Railway Group D 2025 Selection Process
Candidates must successfully clear every stage of the recruitment process to be eligible for final appointment to Group D positions within the Indian Railways.
Computer-Based Test (CBT): The RRB Group D CBT comprises 100 objective-type questions covering Mathematics, Reasoning, General Science, and Current Affairs. The exam duration is 90 minutes, with a penalty of one-third marks for every incorrect answer.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Qualifying candidates will proceed to the PET to assess physical fitness. Standards vary by gender, and candidates with a benchmark disability of 40% are exempted from this physical assessment.
Document Verification (DV): Following the CBT and PET, shortlisted candidates must present original documentation. Failure to produce valid, authentic certificates will lead to immediate disqualification.
Medical Examination: A mandatory medical fitness test follows the document verification stage to ensure candidates meet the specific health requirements for their assigned roles.
