KVS PGT Selection Process 2026

The selection process for KVS Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) roles involves a three-tier approach: Tier 1, Tier 2, and an Interview. While the Tier 1 exam serves as a qualifying stage, the final merit list is determined by an 85% weightage to Tier-2 marks and a 15% weightage to Interview performance.

KVS Tier 1 Exam Pattern 2026

1. The KVS Tier 1 Exam will be conducted in OMR-based mode, consisting of 100 MCQ-based based for a total of 300 marks.
2. For each correct answer, 3 marks will be given, and there is a negative marking of 1 mark for each incorrect answer.
3. The duration of the exam is  2 hours (120 minutes).

KVS Tier 2 Exam Pattern 2026

• In the KVS Tier 2 Exam, questions will be asked from the subjects for which candidates have applied.
• The exam will be held in pen-and-paper (Descriptive) and OMR-Based mode.
• The time duration of the exam is 2½ hours without any time limit for each part of the test individually.
• In OMR-based objective-type questions, 1 mark will be given for each correct answer, and there is negative marking. 1/4 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer.

Interview

Candidates who successfully clear the Tier 2 examination become eligible for the interview stage.
