JKSET Application Fee Structure

The registration cost varies based on category designations:

• Unreserved Category: Exam fee Rs. 1200/-, Late fee Rs. 1800/-
• RBA/ALC-IB/OBC/EWS: Exam fee Rs. 900/-, Late fee Rs. 1500/-
• SC/ST/Transgender/PwD with 40% disability*: Exam fee Rs. 700/-, Late fee Rs. 1100/-

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must satisfy specific requirements before submitting their forms. Eligibility demands a Master’s degree or equivalent with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwD/transgender applicants) secured from a UGC-recognized university.

Final-year Master’s students are welcome to apply, provided they achieve the mandatory minimum marks within two years of the SET result release. Additionally, Ph.D. holders who completed their Master's level examination by 19th September 1991 are granted a 5% relaxation in aggregate marks, reducing their requirement from 55% to 50%. Candidates must appear strictly in the subject of their Post-Graduation. Foreign degrees or diplomas necessitate formal equivalence from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.

The examination is divided into two comprehensive papers consisting entirely of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs):
