Eligibility Criteria and Age Limit

Men and women aged 17.5 to 23 years are eligible to submit their application forms for the Indian Army Agniveer Recruitment 2024. As a one-time measure for the 2023-24 recruitment year, the upper age limit has been relaxed from 21 years to 23 years.

Educational Qualifications

Candidates must have passed their 10+2/Intermediate examination in Science, including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English, with a minimum aggregate of 50% and no less than 40% in each individual subject.

Alternatively, candidates who have completed 10+2 from a recognized State or Central Education Board (including NIOS) or possess a minimum one-year ITI certification in a relevant field with an NSQF Level 4 rating or higher are eligible.
Agniveer Clerk/Store Keeper (Technical) (All Arms) The candidates should have passed 10+2 | Intermediate Exam Pass in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with 600/o marks in aggregate and a minimum of 50% in each subject. Securing 50% in English and Maths/Accounts/BookKeeping in Class Xll is mandatory.
Agniveer Tradesmen (All Arms) 10th pass The candidates should have passed 10th exam. No stipulation in aggregate percentage, but should have scored 33% in each subject.
Agniveer Tradesmen (All Arms) 8th pass The candidates should have passed 8th exam. No stipulation in aggregate percentage, but should have scored 33% in each subject.

  • Birth Certificate for Date of Birth Verification.
  • Caste Certificate.
  • Relationship certificate in case of Relation Bharti or UHQ recruitment.
  • A Valid character certificate is signed by the village Sarpanch.
  • Identity proof certificate.
  • Relevant certificate in case of the sportsman. (If any).

Steps for Indian Army Apply Online 2024

  2. Locate and click on the 'Agnipath' tab displayed in the main header menu.

Indian Army Agniveer Medical Standards Checklist

  • Candidates must possess a robust physique and sound mental health.
  • A minimum chest expansion of 5 cm is mandatory.
  • Candidates must have normal hearing and good binocular vision. Distant vision must be 6/6 in both eyes, and color vision should meet CP-III standards.
  • A sufficient number of natural, healthy teeth (minimum 14 dental points) is required.
  • Candidates must be free from physical deformities such as bone issues, hydrocele, varicocele, or piles.
  • Candidates must have the ability to correctly identify red and green colors.

Salary Structure, Benefits & Severance Package

Upon completion of the four-year tenure, up to 25% of candidates may be retained in the regular cadre based on performance, medical fitness, and merit for an additional 15-year service term. The remaining 75% will be demobilized with a 'Seva Nidhi' severance package of approximately Rs 11-12 lakh (specifically noted as approximately Rs 11.71 lakh including interest). Additionally, a non-contributory life insurance cover of Rs 48 lakh is provided, supplemented by an additional Rs 44 lakh ex-gratia payment for deaths attributable to service.
