FCI Assistant Grade 3 Phase 1 Exam Pattern
Phase 1 is a common objective test for all profiles. It is conducted in both Hindi and English (except for the dedicated English language paper).
- The online test accounts for 100 marks for 100 questions.
- Each question carries 1 mark, and there will be a negative marking of 1/4th mark for every wrong answer.
- The duration of the examination is 1 hour, there will be a sectional timing in FCI Assistant Grade 3 Phase 1 Exam.
- The marks obtained in Phase 1 shall not be considered while preparing the final merit list as this is a qualifying exam.

- The examination pattern for the posts of Assistant Grade–III General and Depot is similar while the pattern varies slightly for the post of Assistant Grade – III Accounts and Technical.
- For Assistant Grade-III General and Depot; there shall be only one paper (Paper-I) in Phase- II.
- While for Assistant Grade- III Accounts and Technical, two papers will be conducted, i.e. Paper-I and Paper-II. Paper-II is slightly different while the pattern of Paper-I shall be similar in all the four posts under Assistant Grade- III.
