Delhi Police Recruitment 2025- Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following four primary eligibility criteria to appear for the SSC Delhi Police Constable 2025 Exam:
1) Nationality/ Citizenship
Candidates must be citizens of India.
2) Education Qualification (as on 21/10/2025)
Candidates must have successfully completed their 10+2 (Senior Secondary) education from a recognized board by the application closing date.
Educational qualification relaxable to 11th pass only for:
i) Bandsmen, buglers, mounted constables, drivers, and dispatch riders currently serving in the Delhi Police.
ii) Sons of serving, deceased, or retired Delhi Police personnel, including Multi-Tasking Staff.
3) Age limit (as on 01/07/2025)
Applicants must be between 18 and 25 years of age. Candidates must have been born between 02-07-2000 and 01-07-2007. Age relaxation is applicable in specific categories as outlined below:
(i) Up to 5 years of relaxation for Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates.
(ii) Up to 3 years of relaxation for Other Backward Class (OBC) candidates.
iii) Up to 5 years of relaxation for distinguished sportspersons who have represented a State at the National level or the Country at the International level within the last three years.
iv) Upper age limit is relaxed up to 40 years for General, 43 years for OBC, and 45 years for SC/ST departmental candidates of the Delhi Police.
v) Relaxation up to 29 years is provided for sons of serving, retired, or deceased Delhi Police personnel and Multi-Tasking Staff.
4) Essential Requirement
Male candidates applying for the Constable (Executive) post must hold a valid LMV (Motorcycle or Car) driving license by the date of the PE&MT. Please note that learner's licenses are not accepted.
