BRO Mechanic & MSW Exam Pattern 2025

The written examination consists of an objective-type (MCQ) test covering 4 key sections:

• Total of 125 questions carrying 125 marks.
• Each question carries 1 mark.
• No negative marking for wrong answers.

Physical Efficiency Test(PET)

Successful candidates from the written exam will proceed to the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). This evaluation measures the endurance and strength essential for field operations. The PET consists of the following components:

• Running (1.6 km in 10 min)

Medical Examination

• The board will decide if a candidate is fit or unfit.

Temporary Unfit Status Guidelines:

• Medical reasons: Can appeal within 60 days; re-exam done by a specialist.
• Physical standards: Can improve weight/chest in 2 months; re-measurement allowed.

Permanently Unfit Status Guidelines:

• Medical reasons: No further chance, candidature will be cancelled.
• Physical standards: No appeal for height deficiency and re-measurement on the same day possible.
