Exam Pattern and Structure
The Preliminary Examination was conducted in an open-book format (allowing one textbook per subject from NCERT, BSEB, ICSE, or other boards, prohibiting guides, photocopies, or handwritten notes). It consisted of 150 objective questions across General Studies, General Science & Mathematics, and Mental Ability for 150 marks.
For the upcoming Mains examination scheduled on 27th February 2026 across two shifts (Morning session from 10:00 am to 12:15 pm and Afternoon session from 2:30 pm to 4:45 pm), candidates face a duration of 2 Hours and 15 Minutes per paper:
