The SCERT Assam D.El.Ed. Pre-Entry Test (PET) 2026 is a state-level competitive examination held to facilitate admissions into the 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education course. This professional training is conducted at various NCTE-recognized Teacher Education Institutes (TEIs), including DIETs, CTEs, Normal Schools, BITEs, and BTCs, as well as approved private institutions throughout the state.

Assam D.El.Ed. Exam Application Fee 2026

To finalize the application for the Assam D.El.Ed. PET 2026, candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 600/-. Payments must be processed through the online portal using Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI.

Educational Qualification

Applicants must have successfully completed their Higher Secondary (10+2) examination from a recognized Board or Council with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. Note that the calculation of this percentage excludes any optional or fourth elective subjects.

Age Limit (As of 01/07/2026)

To be eligible for the SCERT Assam D.El.Ed. PET, candidates must be between 18 and 34 years of age. A relaxation in the upper age limit is provided for candidates belonging to the SC, ST(P), and ST(H) categories, allowing for an upper limit of 36 years.
