Overview of Agneepath Recruitment 2022
The Agneepath Scheme represents a landmark defense initiative introduced by the Know More About the Agneepath Scheme 2022. Under this program, the Agniveer Age limit has been revised to 17.5 to 23 years old. A total of 46,000 vacancies have been established for selected candidates to serve as 'Agniveers' across the Indian Armed Forcesβnamely the Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Indian Air Forceβfor a four-year service tenure. Training for the inaugural cohort is officially set to commence on December 30, 2022.

Educational Qualifications for Agniveers
Candidates must meet specific educational criteria depending on the role they are applying for. - Soldier General Duty: SSLC/Matric with 45% marks in aggregate. No percentage required if higher qualification.
- Soldier Technical: 10+2/Intermediate exam passed in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and English.
- Soldier Clerk / StoreKeeper Technical: 10+2/Intermediate exam passed in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science) with 50% marks in aggregate and minimum 40% in each subject.
- Soldier Nursing Assistant: 10+2/Intermediate exam passed in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and minimum 40% in each subject.

The minimum height requirement stands at 157 cm for male candidates and 152 cm for female candidates, subject to regional and state-based relaxations.

Upon completing the four-year service tenure, Agniveers receive a lump-sum 'Seva Nidhi' package of approximately Rs. 11.71 lakh. This includes the combined GoI and Agniveer Corpus Fund contribution totaling Rs. 5.02 lakh plus accrued interest.
